Dale McCrory Dale started playing music in Highschool with the FFA string band in 1970 on guitar. He continued playing thru highschool at the Holiday Inn in Riverside, Al. with his uncle's band. It was there he had the chance to met and jam with legend Marty Robbins! Marty would stop by when he was in town for the races and they would play until dawn. He then formed a band called Hyway. They played the local circuit for 3 years before quitting. Then in 1982 Dale met and joined the band featuring Henry Neal on drums. 9 years later they decided to leave and form their own band, Southland
